How to HOLD on a System USDS & SDS Models.

When you HOLD on a SYSTEM the Scanner will NOT monitor any other SYSTEMS or Favorites until SYSTEM HOLD is turned OFF.

System HOLD will only monitor the Departments and Sites within the held system.

​

 

Wait until the System’s name appears on the screen then push the SYSTEM button once. Then release the button. Do NOT HOLD it down. The Scanner will emit a confirmation beep.

The Scanner will then monitor only the Departments and Sites within that System.

​

If the incorrect System is in HOLD mode, wait until the System is highlighted then push the System button once again, then scroll the volume dial/Push Func dial left or right until your preferred System is highlighted. Then release the dial.

 

The Scanner will now HOLD on your new selection.

 

All Departments and sites if applicable - will be monitored within that System.

 

To release the System back into Scanning mode – push the SYSTEM/Scan button once.

 

To HOLD on a System - PT and HP Models.

 

When you HOLD on a SYSTEM the Scanner will NOT monitor any other SYSTEMS or Favorites until SYSTEM HOLD is turned OFF.

System HOLD will only monitor the Departments and Sites within the held system.

Wait until the System’s name appears on the screen then push the SYSTEM button once. Then release the button. Do NOT HOLD it down. The Scanner will emit a confirmation  ‘beep’ and a small ‘Hold’ tag will appear on the screen to the right of the System name.

The Scanner will then monitor only the Departments and Sites within that System.

If the incorrect System is in HOLD mode, push the System button once again and the using the volume dial, scroll left or right until the correct System is highlighted.

​

Then release the volume dial, the Scanner will emit a confirmation ‘beep’ and then monitor the selected System.

 

All Departments and sites if applicable - will be monitored within that System.

 

To release the System back into Scanning mode – push the SYSTEM/Scan button once.
